Hi, I’m Lisa Matthews, and I write as SherriAnne Leslie.

One life. Two names. Both belong to me.

I’m adopted. Lisa Matthews is the name connected to the life I was given—the family, faith, love, and complicated experiences that have shaped me. SherriAnne Leslie is the name I was born with, a part of my story that deserves a place on the page, too. Writing is how I honor both.

I write about faith, family, caregiving, chronic illness, and becoming—especially when life takes us somewhere we never expected to go. I write to make sense of my own experiences and to give words to things others may have felt but struggled to explain.

My hope is that somewhere in these pages, you’ll recognize a piece of your own story—and feel a little less alone.
